Art: Lothar Krüll´s (*1959)„Fischchen“

f you want to see high class contemporary art in Munich go to the „Pinakothek der Moderne“. If you want to see exquisite contemporary art and have a unique view over the old town then go to BLUO. The stunning sights from the rooftop office match the lavish exposition of objet d´art that are harmoniously displayed between conference spaces and the working areas of the BLUO team members. On top of the island-like centerpiece that boldly connects the lower and upper floors you will find one of the masterpieces of Lothar Krüll, which the artist has titled „Fischchen“ (small fishes). It was especially designed for the blu-Ocean environment and aptly symbolizes the spirit of the BLUO team. Lothar Krüll, a master student of Professor Tony Cragg, was fascinated by the BLUO philosophy. Experimenting with new materials Krüll has decided to fill a 3x3x3 meter aircubus with elements of fiberglass incombination with stainless steel, materials that symbolize both the quality and reliability of the old economy and the transition into a new world. The nearly transparent fish seem to enjoy their life in the BLUOcean as they weightlessly float through the waters generating a movement that brings life to the entire space. Freedom and control appear to be the motto of the group. The fish are at once individuals and part of a team that moves bravely and energetically forward. Their body attitude signals self esteem and security. And if you come closer prepared to listen to them you may be able to hear them whisper: „yes we can!“.
